Mont St. Michel was a pretty cool place. It was in very good condition, and apparently still used. Unfortunately the still used part made it difficult to see a lot of the areas that I would have liked to see, but the trip was definitely worth it. Lots of beautiful shots here.

This was actually a pretty neat museum. The medieval section had a lot of weapons and armor, the fortification mock ups were amazing, and the WWII section had an interesting French perspective. Very worth it. Napoleon's tomb on the other hand, was over the top and beat me down. Hard.

Let me make you one recommendation. If you go to the Louvre, do the Masterpieces Audio Tour. Enough said.

Another must see. We actually walked up the stairs (there are a lot) to the top which gives a really impressive view of the city. And since the Arc de Triomphe is in the hub of a spoke like area of city streets, you get some really neat vistas to marvel at. Definitely worth the walk up.

Eiffel Tower. Everyone has to go see it if you visit Paris just to say you did, otherwise people won't believe you went. It is actually a lot larger than I imagined, and pretty over whelming. We did not wait to go to the top, it was recommended to us that we skip that, since the lines are very very long. Great advice, we saw a lot more of Paris in the amount of time we would have been waiting!

We did a walking tour of the Ile de Cite, where Notre Dame resides. It was actually very interesting. There were several things that we easily would have missed had we not gone and some stunning view of the cathedral itself. I definitely recommend that you get out of the Metro and hit the streets if you visit Paris.

The catacombs in Paris were really interesting. Apparently in the 17th century the city ran out of burial space, so they exhumed graves in mass and transported all the remains into an abandoned stone quarry located underneath the city. It was later reorganized by Napoleon into mosaics. Very strange, very surreal definitely worth a trip to visit.

These are pictures from various places around Paris. They didn't really fall into any other categories. Enjoy!
